XEBEC


“Xebec” refers to a ship sailing through the Mediterranean. It is symbolic of the zeal and enthusiasm of the students, striving towards excellence in their field. The three day festival saw huge participation of students from 43 institutes and universities of Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Gurgaon in technical, non-technical and green events. There were teams from various colleges like IIT-Delhi, JNU, NSIT, Jamia Millia Islamia, Amity, MAIT, YMCA, LIMAT, JIIT, GCET, VIPS, AIT, NPTI, JSS etc.

XEBEC is the technical fest organized by the SAEIGDTUW collegiate club every year. XEBEC is students’ earnest endeavour to showcase the fabric of talent adorned with the tapestry of spirit through a wide range of Technical, innovative and fun filled activities.

The aim of XEBEC is to foster a scientific temperament among the students through different means to cater to all kinds of talents. It ignites the spark of technical competitiveness among students. The vision of students has been to bring science and technology to the masses to inspire them to achieve the unexpected by providing them a platform to showcase their skills.

Broadening its spectrum, XEBEC 2011 saw active sponsors play an indispensable role in materializing the plans and aspirations. Sponsorships from companies like Hero Honda, Ark Technosolutions, World of Wonder etc. had given strong impetus in organizing such a technical fest that aims at the cognitive abilities of the students. The fest included many technical and non-technical events along with off liners.
