Title : Soft Computing Techniques using MATLAB

Content : Workshop on “Soft Computing Techniques using MATLAB” from 14th June, 2016 to 17th June, 2016, conducted by Dr. Arun Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Information Technology, IGDTUW organized a Workshop on Soft Computing Techniques using MATLAB from 14th June, 2016 to 17th June, 2016. Total 21 students of B.Tech. (IT) and MCA attended this workshop. Resource person for the workshop was Dr Arun Sharma, Associate Professor – IT. The following aspects were covered during the workshop : Introduction to Soft Computing Techniques, basic commands of MATLAB, Fuzzy Logic, Artificial Neural Network and Neuro-Fuzzy. Students learned the theoretical concepts of various soft computing approaches and worked on MATLAB commands and programs. Real life class room based case studies were discussed and implemented on Fuzzy, ANN and ANFIS toolbox of MATLAB. At the end of the workshop, Prof. R K Singh, HoD – IT interacted with the students and motivated them to continue the learning by advising them to work on a real time project by using soft computing technique. A feedback was also conducted for all the students where students were advised to give their suggestions for further improvement. All the participating students will be awarded Workshop Certificates. Dr Arun Sharma announced another Two Days Workshop on Advanced SQL Queries for the students in the month of July
