| Bio-Sketch: | Dr. Arvind Jayant is presently working as Professor (MAE) & former Head in the Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi. Prof. Arvind Jayant did B.E. (Production & Industrial Engineering) degree from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi and M.Tech. (Industrial Engineering) from IIT, Delhi. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in the field of Reverse supply chain management under joint research collaboration of SLIET Deemed University (CFTI) & Delhi Technological University, Delhi. His research area includes Industrial & Production Engineering, Quality Engineering, Taguchi’s Method, Six Sigma, SPC Tools, QFD, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Micro-Machining, Hybrid Machining, Non-Conventional Processes, Supply Chain Management, Global Supply Chain, Reverse Logistics, Green Supply Chains, 3PL, 4PL Logistics, Green Marketing, Green HRM and Green Finance, Metal Casting, Simulation & Modeling, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Formerly he worked as Professor (Mech. Engg.) at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Deemed to be University (CFTI under MHRD, Govt. of India), Longowal, Sangrur, Punjab India since 1996. He also worked as Visiting Professor in School of Engineering & Technology, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand in year 2020. Prof. Jayant possesses 30 years of experience in academics, industry, and research. In addition to teaching at UG & PG Level, Prof. Arvind Jayant has made a significant contribution to R&D in the area of Logistics & Supply Chain Management. He has been completed 03 sponsored research projects & Consultancy assignment of Rs. 155 Lacs funded by Government organizations, Corporate Sector, MHRD, CSIR and MSJE, New Delhi. He has been published more than 200 research papers in International/national journals and proceedings of International and national conferences in India & abroad. He also has 08 books/proceedings & 10 book chapters & 03 UK Patent to his credit. He is also on the editorial board of 08 international journals and also works as a reviewer for 65 SCI high impact International Journals. He has attended 51 International/National conferences and STTP in India & Abroad. He has been organized 15 Conferences and AICTE/ISTE/TEQIP Sponsored STTP. He has been delivered several Keynote/Invited Lectures in India & abroad. Prof. Jayant has presented his research work at universities, research organization and industries in India & abroad particularly in the University of Chicago, USA, University of Barcelona, Spain, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand, Nagoya University, Japan, Imperial College London, National University of Singapore and Bangkok University, Thailand etc. He has guided several Ph.D. students & more than 100 students for their final year PG and UG level Industry oriented thesis/projects. He is the members of different International professional bodies like Fellow (IEI), IIE (USA), IACSIT (Singapore), IAEngg. (Hongkong), IEOM (USA), VERLOG (Germany), Quarterly Franklin Membership (London), ISTE, SMIIIE (Mumbai), ISME, IWS etc. Research and academic excellence have earned him several accolades at the National and International level, which include publication of his biography in MARQUIS Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, 14th Edition, 2013–2014, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Distinguished Professor Award 2021. “ULEKTZ WALL OF FAME -2020 National Award. He is recipient of prestigious Dewang Mehta National Education Leadership Award (22nd Dewang Mehta & BSA Awards, 2014) & OUT STANDING REVIEWER Award by ELSEVIER in year 2016 & 2017 respectively. Three best paper presentation awards for outstanding works in different international conferences in India and abroad to his credit. | |
